Acadia National Park - 2025

I must have taken a million pictures while we were in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor  and surrounding area. There is so much beauty, so much to see and the fall colors were stunning.

A ferry coming into Bar Harbor taken from Park Loop road.

While driving the loop road it went over a cove where the tide was going out. It was really cool to see the water moving.

I love these pictures of these 3 skeleton trees.

Shoreline pictures around Acadia NP

We took a drive around Southwest Harbor and saw Bass Harbor Lighthouse.

We also took a really cool stroll along the coastline.

We picked a sunny, warmer day to check out Thunder hole in Acadia NP.  Thunder Hole is a popular destination year-round. It is a carved out inlet along the rocky eastern shoreline of Mount Desert Island. When a storm or the turning tide forces waves into this narrow channel, the air escapes with a thunderous sound. We got there more than an hour before the high tide as suggested but the waves weren't rough enough to cause the thunderous sounds.
