2022 Travels #4 - San Antonio, Texas

The San Antonio/Alamo KOA was our next stop. This is a great park that has access to city hike & bike trails, a bus stop right across the street, a fishing pond, a swimming pool, the Patio Cafe where we enjoyed a great breakfast 2 out of the 3 mornings we were there, and a huge dog park.

We visited San Antonio Missions National Historic Park.

Next up was to visit Margaritaville to celebrate 5 years of friendship with great friends. We had a good time taking pictures on the huge chair above the Riverwalk.

We ate yummy BBQ at the Smoke Shack.

We walked the Riverwalk, enjoyed "Crappy Hour" and had fantastic mexican food.

Echo loved the Riverwalk especially chasing the ducks and pigeons.

2022 Travels #3 - Fredricksburg, Texas

Fredricksburg was definitely a place we wanted to visit again after spending time here last fall. This time we got to share it and spend time with our great friends Tom and Carol who were traveling from Alabama. We arrived a day early so we stayed at a Harvest Host which happens to be a Winery.

On Friday, Tom and Carol arrived late afternoon so we drove into town for dinner. We ate at a place called Burger Burger. I had the "Bad Mother Clucker" which was pretty good. The other's enjoyed their sandwich as well.

The next day we started out at one of our favorite winery's from last year which was 290 Wine Castle. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and fire baked pizzas.

We walked around Fredricksburg checking out all the shops and ate dinner at Silver Creek Garden & Grill. They had German fare as well as this delicious dish, Pork Medallions glazed with mesquite and raspberry.

The next day we had lunch at Backwoods BBQ and then checked out some more wineries. First, we went to The Garage Winery.

Howard Huge has some interesting history even though he's a little creepy. 😂

The outside...

and the inside of this winery was pretty cool.

Next up was Fat Ass Winery 🤣

We enjoyed Messina Hof so much we took Tom and Carol to enjoy it too. We enjoyed the music of Ryan Desiato while drinking our wine, ate some fantastic truffles and Echo made some friends.

Meet Oden, look how adorable he is and those paws! His owner told us that Oden's dad is 185 lbs. 😲

Oden is all puppy and had more energy than Echo.
