We are extremely late putting out our travels for the year but for the most part we we a great year of traveling! We traveled a total of 13,810 miles. We left Fairhope, AL on April 29 and after our 4th night on the road we had our hydraulic motor go out. We spent 8 days with out jacks and slides but in the end it all worked out. Our year consisted of some really beautiful country, including waterfalls, mountains, and so much more. Our travels included:
A total of 8 Harvest Hosts in Texas, Utah (3), Oregon, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
1 Boondockers Welcome site in Pendleton, OR.
2 Military Installations, Hill AFB, UT, USCG Cape Cod, MA.
We visited 10 National Parks, Petrified Forest NP, Arizona, Glen Canyon NRA, Arizona & Utah, Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Capitol Reef NP, Bryce Canyon NP, and Zion NP, all in Utah, Mount Rainer NP, Washington, Apostle Islands NLS, Wisconsin, and Springfield Armory NHS, Massachusetts.
We spent 204 days on the road and stayed in 28 different states.
Some of the other things we saw and did were Horseshoe Bend, Vermillion Cliffs, Escalante Grand Staircase, we kayaked the sea caves of Devil's Island in Apostle Islands NP, fireworks over Niagara Falls, beautiful fall foilage in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.
Our trip ended with a 2 night stay at Tiffin Service center in Red Bay, AL. We had issues with our passenger side mirror after we first left but was able to get it back in place. Unfortunately, going across Texas on our way back to Alabama, we didn't catch that it was separating again and it came off on I-10. We got our annual fluids done and they had a mirror in stock. We arrived back in Fairhope on November 19.
