Drive to Cortez, CO & Yellow Car Country Wine (Harvest Host) - 4/21/2021

On Wednesday we left Albuquerque, NM driving north with a destination of Cortez, CO. The scenery was very cool, unique, mountains and plateau's.

It looks like these two trains are on the same track.

As we were driving through this area, I was able to snap a picture of this "dust devil"

We wanted to visit a couple of National Monuments but we ran into road construction only 4 miles from the Harvest Host where we were going to spend the night. It was a single lane through several intersections and took us 45-60 minutes to go those 4 miles so we decided we didn't want to go back into that backed up traffic.

Our stay at Yellow Car Country Wines was very relaxing. Jim and Jean were great hosts, Chloe (their dog) was motherly and playful with Echo. The wines were really good and we met new friends Monica and Ron.

Gayla had given me a book to record all our wine tasting experiences and this Yellow Car wines was our first entry.

Chloe and Echo playing.
