Today we drove to Lexington Nebraska where we had plans to stay at another Harvest Host.

Here are some pictures from our drive...

I love these windmills. They are so impressive especially knowing that most blades are the length of a football field and longer. We were driving on highway 92 through Iowa and there were some wind turbines close to the road where the blade shadow traveled the road. I guess you had to be there, it was pretty cool.

This was a cool structure in Omaha, Nebraska.

I would have loved to be able to see what this building was.

York, Nebraska's colorful tower.

Nebraska's rest stops for trucks could use improvement. The parallel parking is not truck friendly when there is only one open spot and someone has to stop. We pulled in between 2 trucks and then waited hoping the truck in front of us would be leaving soon so we could get out. After a 15 minutes we decided to chance pulling out with the short distance between us and the truck in front of us. There is no backing up with the tow. We think the truck in front of us was sleeping, I certainly wasn't going to wake him/her and we really didn't want to disconnect the jeep.

Our stop for the night, Mac Creek Winery & Brewery. They inside and outside was decorated beautifully.

We enjoyed wine tasting on the patio. Between the two of us we ended up purchasing 4 bottles of different wines that we loved. We had access to the grounds while we were there. In the back there were gas fire pits which we sat at once it started to get dark.

There were storms that were skirting around us but left us with some beautiful sky pictures at dusk.
