Mountain Home, ID - 2025

Image
We typically stay halfway at our favorite winery between Vancouver WA and Mountain Home ID. This time we stayed at a ranch. We had a great level spot and got to admire these beautiful horses. I think they thought I had something for them because the minute I walked near the fencing they came over. Wheat I was invited to craft night at the Mountain Home Public Library. We inserted a thin wire into the stem of a dandelion and wrapped the remainder around a rock. Then we were able to decorate around that rock and adding any other things that were available. What a fun project. Before After We bought the Worst-Case Scenario game because the Lathrop family also loves to play games. We added some extra tokens so all 8 of us could play. We learned how the younger generations think differently on what they think about situations. We also introduced them to Uno Flex, Uno Teams and Phase 10 Flip. With temps in the 90's, it was an amazing day floating down the Boise River. Waiting for the guy...

Vancouver, WA - 2025

We had a great time visiting Eric, Jessica and family in Vancouver WA . We typically stay at an RV park in Portland, OR. One thing we were reminded of quickly is the drive from Portland over the bridge to Washington on  I-5 was ridiculous starting around 1-2pm until after 8pm. We spent a few hours with Eric and Jessica that first weekend driving to some other parks on the Washington side. We feel we have found a better location for next year so we don't have to deal with that crazy traffic again. Eric and Jessica invited us to their date night at Oak Creek Station to play bingo on Wednesday night. This place is pretty cool with many food trucks with a different variety of food. Their bingo nights are sponsored by different breweries in the area. If you purchase a beverage from the sponsored brewery you get 2 bingo cards, every other beverage is 1 bingo card. The sponsored brewery had some cool prizes and someone from that brewery called the numbers. We also tried a Trivia ni...

Wendover Air Museum is a Harvest Host. The Enola Gay was based out of this airbase. We got the Jeep salty by taking a ride on the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Mount Rainer NP - 2025

Our next adventure was Mount Rainier National Park. We were able to drive Paradise Road but not Sunrise Road because it typically doesn't open until July due to snow. There was snow along the sides of the road and the further up we went in elevation the clouds were pretty thick.   The clouds cleared a little to be able to see the peak of Mount Ranier Narada Falls Reflection Lake

Zion NP, UT - 2025

Zion National Park, another beautiful park in it's own unique way. I wish we would have had more time here as well. We took a drive on the Mt. Carmel Highway and glad we did, the views were stunning. We also rode the bus through the park. It was hard to get pictures because they pack people on these busses like a can of sardines. 😱😲 The tunnel Checkerboard Mesa We hiked the Grotto Trail and then Riverside Walk that led to the Narrows. We definitely will be back prepare to do hike the narrows. Depending on the time of year, you have to walk/wade through water to get to the Narrows, on this day flash flooding was probable. After hiking we found a great restaurant/cafe to have lunch.
